Just spent two nights at the Mackenzie, and I couldn't ask for better hosts! Danny and Jasmine made us feel right at home. The breakfasts were hearty and delicious. The room was spotless. Just a heads up, the shared bathroom was a bit cramped but manageable. Would absolutely return!

what a disappointment. the washroom was cramped, clearly not built for modern travelers. i asked for luggage storage and got hesitations, not the red carpet i expected. surely as a guest, i should've been offered a complimentary upgrade or at least some acknowledgment of my discomforts. almost left a good review, but how could i?

Breakfast was a highlight, with a full Scottish menu that was cooked to perfection. It’s a bit noisy if you're in a room facing the road, so maybe consider earplugs if you're a light sleeper.
